10 commands you should master when working with the Cisco IOS

10 commands you should master when working with the Cisco IOS.

Takeaway: Becoming proficient with the Cisco IOS means learning some essential commands. This quick reference describes 10 commands you'll need to rely on when handling various configuration and troubleshooting tasks

The Cisco IOS provides thousands of commands, and configuring it can be challenging.

Here are 10 commands you need to know, inside and out, when using the Cisco IOS.

#1: The "?"

It may seem entirely too obvious that you should know how to type ? to ask for help when using the Cisco IOS. However, the Cisco IOS is completely different from other operating systems when it comes to using the question mark (help key). As the IOS is a command-line operating system with thousands of possible commands and parameters, using the ? can save your day.

You can use the command in many ways. First, use it when you don't know what command to type. For example, type ? at the command line for a list of all possible commands. You can also use ? when don't know what a command's next parameter should be. For example, you might type show ip ? If the router requires no other parameters for the command, the router will offer CR as the only option. Finally, use ? to see all commands that start with a particular letter. For example, show c? will return a list of commands that start with the letter c.

#2: show running-configuration

The show running-config command shows the router, switch, or firewall's current configuration. The running-configuration is the config that is in the router's memory. You change this config when you makes changes to the router. Keep in mind that that config is not saved until you do a copy running-configuration startup-configuration. This command can be abbreviated sh run.

#3: copy running-configuration startup-configuration

This command will save the configuration that is currently being modified (in RAM), also known as the running-configuration, to the nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM). If the power is lost, the NVRAM will preserve this configuration. In other words, if you edit the router's configuration, don't use this command and reboot the router--those changes will be lost. This command can be abbreviated copy run start. The copy command can also be used to copy the running or startup configuration from the router to a TFTP server in case something happens to the router.

#4: show interface

The show interface command displays the status of the router's interfaces. Among other things, this output provides the following:

* Interface status (up/down)
* Protocol status on the interface<
* Utilization
* Errors
* MTU

This command is essential for troubleshooting a router or switch. It can also be used by specifying a certain interface, like shint fa0/0.

#5: show ip interface

Even more popular than show interface are show ip interface and show ip interface brief. The show ip interface command provides tons of useful information about the configuration and status of the IP protocol and its services, on all interfaces. The show ip interface brief command provides a quick status of the interfaces on the router, including their IP address, Layer 2 status, and Layer 3 status.

#6: config terminal, enable, interface, and router

Cisco routers have different modes where only certain things can be shown or certain things can be changed. Being able to move between these modes is critical to successfully configuring the router.

For example, when logging in, you start off at the user mode (where the prompt looks like >). From there, you type enable to move to privileged mode (where the prompt looks like #). In privileged mode, you can show anything but not make changes. Next, type config terminal (or config t) to go to global configuration mode (where the prompt looks like router(config)# ). From here, you can change global parameters. To change a parameter on an interface (like the IP address), go to interface configuration mode with the interface command (where the prompt looks like router(config-if)#). Also from the global configuration mode, you can go into router configuration using the router {protocol} command. To exit from a mode, type exit.

#7: no shutdown

The no shutdown command enables an interface (brings it up). This command must be used in interface configuration mode. It is useful for new interfaces and for troubleshooting. When you're having trouble with an interface, you may want to try a shut and no shut. Of course, to bring the interface down, reverse the command and just say shutdown. This command can be abbreviated no shut.

#8: show ip route

The show ip route command is used to show the router's routing table. This is the list of all networks that the router can reach, their metric (the router's preference for them), and how to get there. This command can be abbreviated shipro and can have parameters after it, like shiproospf for all OSPF routers. To clear the routing table of all routes, you do clear ip route *. To clear it of just one route, do clear ip route 1.1.1.1 for clearing out that particular network.

#9: show version

The show version command gives you the router's configuration register (essentially, the router's firmware settings for booting up), the last time the router was booted, the version of the IOS, the name of the IOS file, the model of the router, and the router's amount of RAM and Flash. This command can be abbreviated shver.

#10: debug

The debug command has many options and does not work by itself. It provides detailed debugging output on a certain application, protocol, or service. For example, debug ip route will tell you every time a router is added to or removed from the router.

If you have some more please feel free to comment !

Hands first or knees first in sujood?

Hands first or knees first in sujood?

Regarding prostration in prayer, I have read two different versions. One (on this website) says that it is better that your knees touch the floor before your hands. In the book The Prophet’s Prayer, it says one should place one’s hands on the ground before the knees - and quotes hadith supporting this (claiming knees before hand is as the camel and not advisable. Is there a correct way?

Praise be to Allaah.

The scholars have differed as to how one should go down in sujood, whether one should go hands first or knees first. According to the Hanafis, Shaafa’is and one opinion narrated from Ahmad, the person who is praying should go down on his knees first, then on his hands. Al-Tirmidhi thought that this was the opinion of the majority of scholars, and said in his Sunan (2/57): “This is how it is done according to the majority of scholars: they think that a man should go down on his knees before he puts his hands down, and when he gets up he should raise his hands before his knees. Those who express this opinion take as evidence the hadeeth of Waa’il ibn Hajar, who said: “I saw the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), when he did sujood, putting his knees down before his hands, and when he got up he raised his hands before his knees.” (Reported by Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisaa’i, Ibn Maajah and al-Daaraqutni (1/345). He said: The only one who narrated it was Yazeed ibn Haaroon from Shurayk. Nobody reported from ‘Aasim ibn Kulayb except Shurayk, and Shurayk is not qawiy (strong). Al-Bayhaqi said in al-Sunan (2/101): its isnaad is da’eef (weak). Al-Albaani classed it as da’eef in al-Mishkaat (898) and al-Irwa’ (2/75). Other scholars classed it as saheeh, such as Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) in Zaad al-Ma’aad). Among those who thought that one should go down into sujood knees first were Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah and his student Ibn al-Qayyim; contemporary scholars who favour this view include Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz and Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen.

Maalik, al-Awzaa’i and the scholars of hadeeth thought that one should go into sujood hands first, based on the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him), who said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘When any one of you prostrates, let him not go down as the camel does; let him put his hands down before his knees.’” (Reported by Ahmad (2/381), Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, and al-Nisaa’i. Al-Nawawi said in al-Majmoo’ (3/421): it was reported by Abu Dawood and al-Nisaa’i with a jayyid isnaad. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in al-Irwa’ (2/78), who said: This is a saheeh isnaad, all of whose men are thiqaat, the men of Muslim, apart from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd-Allaah ibn al-Hasan, also known as al-Nafs al-Zakiyyah al-‘Alawi, who is thiqah)
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah made a valuable comment on this matter in al-Fataawa (22/449): “Praying in both ways is permissible, according to the consensus of the scholars. If a person wants to go down knees first or hands first, his prayer is valid in either case, according to the consensus of the scholars, but they disputed as to which is preferable.”

The scholar should act upon whichever opinion he believes is more likely to be correct, and the ordinary Muslim should follow the opinion of a scholar whom he trusts. And Allaah knows best.

By Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid.

7 Common Mistakes When Beginning Blogging !

This article is intended for beginning bloggers.
However, even if you're a long-time blogger, bookmark this article so that you can forward it along to your friends and family when they make these common mistakes. I'll bet you a dollar that you know at least one person that is making each of these mistakes.

7 Common Mistakes When Beginning Blogging !

1.Never actually launching it:

This is likely the most common mistake. Sure, you've been meaning to get your blog kicked off. You may have even authored your first article. But guess what, it's not a blog until you actually publish something.

2.Using a sub-domain (ex: myblog.gogo.com):
If you're going to go to the trouble to start a blog, then you owe it to yourself to get started right. Even if you decide to use one of the many popular free blogging services, you should register your own domain name. There are many reasons for this, but the most important is control over your website URL. This is one of the few decisions about your blog that is going to be difficult to fix later. Trust me on this one, the price is worth it.

[Note to self: Add a check to the website grader to let people know when they've made this blunder]

3.Spending too much time on design:
Don't let the design of your blog get you bogged down. Pick one of the many existing templates out there that are free or close to it and go ahead and get started. You can always change templates later. Besides, blogs are fundamentally about content. Aesthetics help, but your first focus should be on authoring great content.

4.Not telling anyone about it:
The beginning days of a blog are the hardest. You don't have anyone linking to you, the search engines are not ranking you (and maybe not even indexing you). So, there's really only one source of traffic: Direct contact. The best way to get a new blog launched is to tell people in your network that you now have a blog. Many people are a little reluctant to do this becomes it seems vain or boastful. As long as you're sending the notification to people that have an interest in your topic, there's nothing wrong with it.

5. Getting discouraged too early:
Most things in life worth doing take time. Blogging is no different. You should give yourself at least 6 months (perhaps even a year) to determine what kind of interest there is out there before giving up due to lack of traffic. Early momentum is hard, but once things start moving, lots of things will start working in your favor.

6.Too many blidgets:
Given how easy it is to add various blog widgets to your blog, it's tempting to go overboard. Resist the temptation. In the early weeks, focus on the basics: Content, comments, categories and perhaps a blog roll. Save the fancy stuff for later.

7.Monetizing too early:
Just because Google makes it easy to throw ads up on your blog doesn't mean you should. With minimal traffic, the amount of money you are going to make is neglible (probably pennies a day). If you're serious about blogging, you'll first focus on building an audience before even attempting to try and make money at it. Trying ads out on your blog too early will reduce the chances of your getting that critical early traffic.

I'm sure there are many more common mistakes.
Which ones do you see people make the most often?
Share your thoughts and leave a comment and make the blogosphere a better place.

Huqqah More Harmful Than Cigarettes.

Huqqah More Harmful Than Cigarettes.

It’s a myth that huqqah or sheeshah smoking is safer than smoking cigarettes. The tobacco is no less toxic. Huqqah smokers actually inhale more tobacco smoke than do cigarette smokers because of the massive volume of smoke they inhale. Huqqah is a water pipe. It has a growing popularity among teens and young adults in the east. The trend of huqqah smoking has doctors and public health experts concerned because - despite claims to the contrary by many users - smoking from a huqqah is just as dangerous as smoking cigarettes.

The huqqah device:

·A base, or smoke chamber, which is partially filled with water;
·A bowl, which contains tobacco and the heating source;
·A pipe that connects the bowl to the base and dips into the water in the base;
·A hose, a second tube in the pipe that does not dip into the water but opens into air in the base and allows users to inhale the huqqah smoke.

When a smoker inhales through the tube, a pressure difference forces air past the heating source and heats the tobacco, which gives off smoke. The smoke is pulled away from the tobacco and passes through the water and into the smoke chamber from which it is inhaled by the smoker.

Harms of Egypt`s national addiction

Egypt is trying to combat its population’s huqqah habit. Dr Fatima al-Awa of World Health Organisation’s (WHO) regional office says, “One hour with a sheeshah is equal to 100-200 cigarettes.” She added that for a similar nicotine intake a sheeshah exposes users to more smoke than cigarettes. A WHO study found that the regular waterpipe smoker is exposed to larger amounts of nicotine, carbon monoxide and some other toxins than the typical cigarette smoker. It points out that the force needed to pull the air through the hose allows the smoke to reach much deeper into the lungs.

However it also decreases the sperm count in men, prone to heart diseases, lung and throat cancer etc.

Huqqah is largely responsible for reintroducing tuberculosis in the country.

Egypt and India are some of the countries in the world that is the most affected by tobacco use. “An average of 2.5 % of household income is spent on tobacco, which is more than on health and leisure,”.

Shari’ah

When cigarette smoking first became widespread, not all Ulama declared it Haraam, since data on its harms were not available at the time. This was remedied as its harms were revealed and understood. In the same way, Huqqah is now known to be harmful and should be avoided.

The Hadith states, “Your body has a right over you.”

Therefore am planning to quit huqqah and you ??

These Things, I Wish To Have Known !!

These Things, I Wish To Have Known !!

How many times have you thought to yourself that you might have avoided a whole field of mental-mines if you had just known that some clients are going to be the beasts of nightmares and that it's not so bad when you make a mistake? I put together a list of fifty or so tips I wish I had known when I started my working life. I hope to help at least one student relax a little.

*************************************************************************************
You're going to screw up. The world keeps spinning.
Things are going to go wrong and it'll be your fault. It's ok.

*************************************************************************************
Admit when you've stuffed up
It means you're taking responsibility; save time on bickering or
making-up excuses and you'll feel virtually no guilt.

*************************************************************************************

The Grammar Cheat Sheet !

When you know the correct way to structure a sentence, the world becomes a scary place – you start to notice how many people get it painfully wrong. The ease of content creation that the web now affords us is making the problem worse, so why not get a basic understanding to help make your text a little more professional?

***********************************************************************************

Before we get into this, let's establish two things.

1. A lot of these 'rules' are different country to country, decade to decade.
The way a proof reader or typesetter might lay out a page in Britain is different to how it might be done in America. How it's done in 1985 is different than how it might be done in 2009. The styles of typesetting can change over time and throughout different regions.
2. Always be consistent, even if it might not be 'correct'.
Some companies will have certain ways they layout text, even if it might be considered wrong for their geographic location. But they are consistent with how they lay their text out and that is the most important thing. You don't want your audience to get half way through a piece of text and get confused because you changed the way you laid something out.

***********************************************************************************

Double Spaces

Never use them. Ever. Your high-school teacher was wrong, don't ever use them.

***********************************************************************************

Apostrophes

An apostrophe is inserted when letters are removed.
Let's go to the race. (Let us go to the race.)
It's going to be a great day. (It is going to be a great day.)

The other use of the apostrophe is to show ownership.
The runner's shoes.
Mayor Swanks' opening speech.

Tip: If the last letter of the owners name ends in s, place the apostrophe on the end without adding the extra s.

***********************************************************************************

Commas

Ah the lovely comma. A comma can help you set the pace of your text, but don't go crazy.
He ran faster and faster, faster still, his muscles burnt, his face dripped.

Is more interesting than:
He ran faster and faster. His muscles burnt and his face dripped.

There are also a few rules when using a comma:

1. Use it to divide items in a list (of three or four items), when in a run-on sentence.
2. Use with and, but, for, or, nor, so, yet.
She ran as fast as her body would let her, yet it wasn't enough.
3. Use to separate contrasting parts of a sentence.
She felt she couldn't summon the energy to run the fastest, she was wrong.
4. Use in a similar way to parenthesis, but when you don't want to break the flow.
She smashed her feet on the pavement, not realising the damage she was doing, in an effort to win.

***********************************************************************************

Paragraphs

This can be a problem on the web, as apparently the 'enter' key is a little hard to find. We've all seen those sites, where someone posts an article that isn't broken into paragraphs correctly. The problem with this is that your text needs to breathe, flow well and look smooth – a lot of this is achieved by well spaced paragraphs. A couple of simple guidelines:

1. Stick to around 5 sentences
The reality is that you can have as many sentences in a paragraph that you feel is needed to get your point across, but for arguments sake, let's save five or six is somewhat of a limit.
2. Keep each paragraph topical and relative.
Don't make two distinct points in one long paragraph when two short ones will work better.

***********************************************************************************

Quotation Marks

The British will use single quotes, then double quotes, when there is a quote within a quote.
'I can't forget I "can run as fast as lightning" for as long as I need' Samantha told herself.

While the Americans will do this the other way around.
"I can't forget I 'can run as fast as lightning' for as long as I need" Samantha told herself.

The British idea is that single quote marks are less obtrusive, the American idea is that double quotation marks are more noticeable. So really, they have their preference for the exact same reason. However, as I am an Australian, I go by the British standard of singles first.

***********************************************************************************

Punctuation in Quotes

If the question mark, full stop or any other punctuation is part of the quote, then include it within the quotation marks.
He raised an eyebrow and scoffed, "Did you hear that Samantha is 'going to run me into the ground' at today's race?"

If the quote is part of a sentence, and the punctuation isn't part of the quote, then keep the punctuation on the outside.
To think, he thought he could win, he even went as far as to say 'you aren't even a blip on my radar', in that cocky I'm-a-prick tone of his.

If the whole sentence is a quote, then keep the punctuation inside of the marks.
'I won, I won, I won, even with this athletes foot, I won! Whooo!'

***********************************************************************************

Hyphens & Dashes

There is a difference here and this is probably the thing most people get wrong on the web.

The hyphen is essentially used to join two words together, without space on either side.

Dashes are different. There is either the en dash or the em dash. An en dash will be the width of the capital N in any given font, while the em dash is the width of a capital M in said font, and they both have different usages.

Em Dash (in HTML: —)
You would use an em dash instead of a comma or brackets as it helps give emphasis and is the typographical equivalent of the dun-dun-da music. Just make sure you never have space on either side of an em dash.
The race was almost over—but it was only really beginning for Sam.
The race was almost over—it has been a hard hour for all—and it was only down to a few contenders.

En Dash (in HTML: –)
The en dash is used between a range of numbers, while kept closed, and is best used when the span is part of a list.
1–5 runners are expected to fail.
10–25 runners will be hurt.

However, if the span is part of running prose, then it's generally nicer (phonetically and typographically) to use from and to, but use your own judgement on this.
One to five runners are expected to fail.
The mini-Olympics will run from the 29th until the 30th.
The temperature is expected to have a top of 20–25 degrees on the day of the race.

Another use of the en dash is when you want to offset a phrase, but without the sudden hit of an em dash. Use it with a space either side.
Winning a race can be very hard work – I knew I could do it.

Tip: An easy way to easily insert the correct dashes into your writing, if using a CMS or something similar is to type out -- for en dashes, or --- for em dashes. Then perform a find and replace and presto, you're done.

***********************************************************************************

Numbers

This is nice and easy – numbers up to ten are typed in full, 11 and beyond are numerical. However, sometimes it's nicer to spell them out.
Runners eight and 17 broke their legs.
The first place winner won two million dollars, second place received $158.

***********************************************************************************

Conclusion

There you have it! A quick list on how to use some basic grammar that will set you apart from most schlumps who don't know their ems from their ens. This list is quite basic and isn't enough for perfect writing, but it's enough to make you look like you actually care about your content, and you do care, don't you?

5 Topics To Address When Talking With Your Partner About Starting A Business !

5 Topics To Address When Talking With Your Partner About Starting A Business !
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One of the most important steps (if not the most important one) you can take when starting a business is to talk with your partner/spouse before you embark on your adventure. It’s absolutely crucial to have your partner with you on the same page when you start a business. Without their support and “buy-in,” in the long run you’ll end up sacrificing your success, your relationship, or both. Save your marriage and your business by talking to your partner and coming to agreement about these issues.

Before heading into any conversation, make sure you have your “ducks in a row.” Know how to answer the questions your partner (from this point forward, for ease of use throughout this article, I’ll be using “partner” to refer to your partner in life, which may include a girlfriend/boyfriend or a spouse, and “she” to refer to “she/he”) may have. Do your homework and have a plan prepared so your partner can see that you’re serious and know what you’re talking about, but keep your plan flexible enough that your partner can have some input. And remember, these conversations may not be simple, easy, or fast, so set aside enough time to talk to your partner, share your thoughts and feelings, and give your partner a chance to absorb this new information. Be patient, loving, and sincere, and let him/her take the time s/he needs.

-------------
Money
-------------
Money is the number one reason why people get divorced. That’s why it’s critical that your discussion with your partner includes money. As I suggested in last week’s post, when you first start your business, you’ll want to either save up enough money for you and your family to live on for at least six months or keep your current job and start your business part-time until you can afford to make the transition to full-time. Talk to your partner about your plan and let him/her know that you don’t want to put your family’s security at risk. Your partner may want you to save up more than six months’ worth of living expenses, so keep an open mind as you go into this conversation.

A great step to take when you’re talking to your partner about money is to sit down together and figure out where you are financially. Dave Ramsey, author of “The Total Money Makeover” suggests that if you want to create financial stability in your life and get out of debt, you should list out all your debts, “get right” with your creditors, save up a $1,000 emergency fund, then start paying off your debts, starting with the smallest ones. If you’re heavily in debt, I highly recommend reading Dave’s book and implementing his strategies to get your financial life straightened out before you start any business. However, remember that you can use a part-time venture to help you pay off your debts. There are several business models that are fairly easy and inexpensive to start and, when implemented properly, can result in enough income to pay down (or off) your debts, and then bring in enough to let you transition into a full-time entrepreneurial life.

Once you and your partner have figured out where you are financially, discuss the expenses you foresee with your potential business. Talk about the experts you want to hire and the various startup costs you anticipate, and why they’re important to your success. You may want to bring in a business consultant or advisor to talk with you and your partner to help you account for all the possible expenses. I frequently work with couples who want to find a business model that’s appropriate for their financial situation. In some cases, we can jump straight into a business that has higher startup expenses, but in other situations, we design a “leapfrogging” approach that lets them start a lower-risk, lower startup cost venture that brings in enough to fund a more complex business model.

You’ll also want to talk with your partner about how long you think it will take before your business is profitable. Many partners hear “I want to start a business” and start to fear that they’re about to head down a road where their partner is throwing money at a business that may never succeed. Remember that your partner may experience this kind of fear and it doesn’t necessarily represent a lack of support as fear and worry about the future.

-------------
The Future
-------------

Talking about the future is important because you want your partner to understand what you hope this business will do for you and your family. You’ll want to talk about what kind of life the two of you want to have together. What are your goals and what is your shared vision for your life together? What do you think the business will do for your family and what will you teach your children (or future children) by having this business? People often fear that the new business will absorb all the time and energy from their partner. Again, this is something to address with care, love, and reassurance.

The business models I work with tend to require a lot of time in the initial stages, during the startup phase. When you’re building a company and a brand and increase awareness of that brand, you may spend a lot of time working on that company, but as I’ve mentioned in my other articles, most of these business models eventually result in a lot more free time. Knowing that this kind of sacrifice will only happen at the beginning can go a long way toward getting your partner’s support, as will your reassurances that you won’t neglect your family.

You’ll also want to talk with your partner about some “what if” scenarios. I advocate positive thinking and believing so strongly in your business idea that you simply don’t allow for the possibility of failure. However, your partner may not see it quite the same way, and realistically, all business don’t succeed. So discuss some “what if everything doesn’t go according to plan” scenarios with your partner and talk about what you’re going to do to mitigate the risk of failure — at what point will you seek help to make your business work?

-------------
Priorities
-------------
When you start a business, your partner may worry that your business is your top priority. Of course most people want to be important to their partners, in fact they want to be number one! By talking to your partner with patience, sensitivity, and love, and asking for his/her input, and by including him/her in your plans, you’re already showing your partner how important s/he is to you. But you’ll have to go one step further and let your partner know where your priorities lie.

You must be willing to set aside the work and give your partner the love and attention s/he needs. That means paying attention to what your partner is telling you and planning ahead. So find out what your partner wants and expects from you and plan ahead to provide that.

An example from my own marriage is that when I first started my company, I was working over ten hours a day, seven days a week. I love what I do, and I can get really involved in my work, so I didn’t realize how hard I was working. I only worked that much for a couple of weeks before my husband mentioned it to me and asked when we’d get to spend some time together. Suddenly I realized that, even for a brief time, I’d put a higher priority on my work than on my marriage, and quickly corrected my course. I decided to take every Sunday off and to quit working at a “reasonable” hour (being an hour that we agreed on together), and spend more time with my husband. But a conversation with him before I started would have prevented this from happening at all.

-------------
Risk
-------------
Your partner will most likely be concerned about risk. There are a lot of types of risk, but I think the two people fear the most are personal risk (the emotional consequences of failure) and financial risk. Your partner won’t want you to be crushed if you don’t succeed, so you’ll want to talk about those “what if” scenarios I mentioned earlier. Remember that you and your partner may have different tolerances for risk, so take time to find out how your partner feels about risk and what s/he can handle. Talk about how you’re mitigating and minimizing your risk and show him/her that you’re planning ahead and really doing your homework. Your partner will feel safer if you’ve considered the possibilities and accounted for what could go wrong.

-------------
How Your Business Will Work
-------------
It’s important that your partner knows that when you run a business, there are activities that seem like they’re not bringing in any income. Tasks like accounting, social networking, checking and replying to e-mails, updating your web site, and other tasks that aren’t your actual “job” may seem to your partner like work you don’t have to do. A friend
of mine joked once about the time I spent on social networking sites, thinking I was just having fun all day long. Once I explained that social networking is an activity that keeps me close to my clients and allows me to get to know them as individuals so I can serve them better, she began understand that this is an integral part of my business. Explain to your partner that you’ll do tasks that may seem silly or insignificant, but there’s a reason for them, and be willing to explain what you’re doing and why if and when s/he asks.

Ultimately, you’ll probably want to have a lot of other conversations with your partner about business, but these are the top five issues I see the most when I work with new entrepreneurs and their partners. The most important things to keep in mind when you talk to your partner are patience, love, sincerity, and understanding. Remember that your partner may initially respond with fear and concern, and don’t get frustrated if s/he doesn’t agree with your plans initially. Just take your time, stick with the conversation, and be flexible and open-minded. Above all, remember that you and your partner love each other. Start and end every business conversation with that thought in your mind and you won’t go wrong.

The shapes of songs !!

The diagrams in The Shape of Song display musical form as a sequence of translucent arches. Each arch connects two repeated, identical passages of a composition. By using repeated passages as signposts, the diagram illustrates the deep structure of the composition.

For example, the picture above was built from the first line of a very simple piece: Mary Had a Little Lamb. Each arch connects two identical passages. To clarify the connection between the visualization and the song, in this diagram the score is displayed beneath the arches.

Begin Again !

Awake, Seek, Truth, Stumble, Begin Again.

Those four words start this impressive wallpaper retelling the story of how Prince Gautama became the Siddhartha and become the founder of an ancient religion.

This is a wallpaper a story that has been told numerous times.

Like all great stories it touches such a chord that great writers feel a need to revisit it over and over again !

Relive the magic !

Me being a tree !

After you leave, I will become a tree

Alone on a hillside, loving wind and sun,
Waiting for you to return home to me
Though centuries of lonely stars may run.

I'll grow tall and give lots of shade,
Sheltering birds and other bright-eyed things.
Pleased with all the progress that I've made,
I'll spread my leafy branches out like wings.

But oh! Every moment of every day
I'll miss you with the passion of the wind,
Gazing endlessly upon the way
That without you must empty, empty wind.
